Our focus is to provide receivables-backed debt capital solutions to businesses in the UK alternative finance sector.
We address an area of the market that is underserviced by traditional credit providers, focused on working with the entrepreneurial founders and management teams of tech-enabled alternative finance businesses. These innovators often find it challenging to access mainstream funding until they have achieved a certain scale and/or relative commoditisation of their product.
By combining our structured lending approach, deep sector expertise and genuine empathy for the challenges of building successful businesses, we have become a funding partner of choice in the market.
We typically deploy facilities of £5m – £25m and a core part of our investment strategy is acting as a senior lender to earlier stage borrowers and partnering with them as they scale. We have a proven track record of supporting innovators across multiples stages of their growth and are well positioned to provide funding as businesses introduce new verticals, products or expand overseas.
Our portfolio past and present portfolio includes category-defining innovators both within and outside of Blenheim Chalcot. We support disruptive lenders in more established markets (e.g. SME finance, auto finance and student loans), as well as having the appetite to explore the funding of emerging asset classes (e.g. music royalties and gaming).

Since our launch in 2011, we have consistently delivered an attractive risk-adjusted return for our investor base, which is primarily comprised of HNWIs and family offices.
Capital under management has predominantly grown via referrals and through BCI’s proprietary origination channels, investors can gain exposure to innovative, growing alternative finance businesses.
