Oakbrook officially named a 2022 UK’s Best Workplaces™ for women
100% of female colleagues say everyone is treated fairly regardless of their age and ethnicity.
The 2022 UK’s Best Workplaces™ for women list was launched this morning by Great Place to Work® UK, recognising Oakbrook among 263 other ranked organisations.
Amongst the things valued by women at Oakbrook were the focus the company puts on things such as physical and mental wellbeing, inclusion, diversity and trust. 98% of women at Oakbrook felt trusted to do a good job and stated they are treated fairly regardless of their gender.
Luke Enock, CEO at Oakbrook, commented, ‘’We’re really pleased to have been recognised as a great workplace for women again. We’ve worked hard to create a culture where colleagues can trust one another, be themselves and support each other to achieve their life’s best work, no matter who they are, what they do or what gender they identify with’
The Best Workplaces for women award is the latest in a series of accolades given for the culture at Oakbrook and the support Oakbrook provides for its colleagues. Previously, it’s also been recognised as a Great Place To Work UK, a Great Place To Work in Tech and for excellence in its approach to staff wellbeing.
Pippa Ward-Bradley, Business Change Lead at Oakbrook, said, ‘’Oakbrook really cares about you as an individual. They empower you to deliver your best work in a trusted and caring environment. You’re treated like an equal and given lots of opportunities to progress your career. The support and mentoring Oakbrook have in place is great and all your successes, both as an individual and within your wider team, are recognised and celebrated.’’
As Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK, explains, “Now in its fifth year, our 2022 list showcases the largest collection of Best WorkplacesTM for Women that the UK has ever recognised. These results are based on what women themselves have anonymously reported to us about their workplace experience and how well represented they are in the workforce and management. Ensuring people aren’t discriminated against, placing positive value on our differences, creating fair access and advancement for all, and fostering a sense of value and empowerment in employees is what being a Great Place to Work® is all about. Only by first identifying the gaps in workers’ experiences can organisations truly take action to close them, which is why analysing employee experience is important. We are proud that the data and insights we provide organisations helps on that continuous journey – and it’s wonderful to celebrate so many Best Workplaces™ for Women this year, across all sectors and organisational sizes.”
Oakbrook is a digitally enabled consumer finance and technology business, removing the barriers between consumers that want to borrow and investors that want to lend.
