ClearScore to be acquired by Experian

Mar 2018

Today saw the announcement of Experian’s intent to pay £295m (£275m + cash on hand) to acquire 3.5-year-old free credit report and score service ClearScore.

Founded in late 2014 by the UK’s leading digital venture builder Blenheim Chalcot, US venture fund QED, and CEO Justin Basini, ClearScore launched in July 2015 and rapidly grew to over six million users, transforming the industry for consumer credit reports.

We are incredibly proud of Justin Basini, Klaus Thorup, Andy Sleigh, Guy Buckley-Sharp, Anna Kilmurray and everyone at ClearScore who has worked so hard to build this amazing company. We would also like to thank all the great Blenheim Chalcot people who have helped them on their way.
